Mouriesse Vinum – Tour d’Ambre 2017 – Châteauneuf du Pape

Dense young purple core and a lighter rim. Youthful and ripe nose displaying Kirsch, ripe plum, cassis and crushed berries with garrigue and white pepper. The palate is dense and bold with a rigid structure, still a youthful tannic bite to it, spicy with liquorice, wild herbs, pepper and sweet dark fruit leading to a long and lingering finish. Still a youthful and restrained style needing time to open. Drink from 2022.
