Red wine with a medium towards deep ruby-red colour, indicating a certain age as the colour is slowing fading on the rim. Fresh nose, not really young. It is starting to show off some spiciness coming with age. Some notes of tobacco; slightly mineral, with wild berry fruit, crushed berries and a gentle hint of oak. Palate has medium weight, good freshness. I think quite elegant fruit; almost wild berries, like raspberry, blackberry, a good mix of red and dark fruits. Tannins are very subtle, well integrated there and a good dash of freshness on the finish. I pick up a little bit on the finish a slight hint of vanilla, but I should also say the oak is nicely integrated. Overall well balanced, still appearing young but no hard edges. Something that drinks pretty well today. Good length, good purity of fruit. Quite elegant wine, yet with nice and attractive juicy fruits.
