Weingut – Steiner Ried Grillenparz 1.ÖTW Riesling Reserve 2014 – Kremstal

Pale straw colour, quite low intensity there with a slight green hue. Pure nose. Quite young. Rather cooler, restrained style here with low ripeness, just some green apple, some herbal notes, fresh lime and lemon. Quite light weight on the palate with a youthful acidity. Appearing quite lean now in terms of fruitiness. A bit restrained, yet with a good purity. I like the zesty lemony, lime flavours, with spicy hints of ginger on the finish. Finish is still quite persistent, nothing like the 2014 vintage. Fruit is now a bit lean and restrained, but they do have purity. They do have freshness. They do have a certain length. So a wine with potential for further development.
