Youthful appearance, straw colour with a green hue. Very nice intensity on the nose. Offering some floral hints, floral herbal almost like chamomile, white flower, but add to that a touch of honey or wax, with layers of sweet fruit like ripe pear, melon, apricot. Some tropical hints of almost pineapple. All along a good purity and a clear notion of stony minerality. Very good bite on the palate. This is a fairly high sweetness I would say on an Auslese level. However, it is underlined by this really bright and grippy acidity. So there is a lot of nerve and tension in there. I think it manages to keep within the frames of medium-bodied. Excellent flavour intensity, really a juicy yellow fruit. Precise and clean with a very long finish. So a really fine combination of sweetness and acidity. Then add to that purity, yet with that lush fruits. Very fine example. Delicious to drink now, but with the potential for many many years in the cellar.
