Developed colour here, quite high ruby-red, with a fading rim. Very intense nose here. It suggest some sweetness, almost like a sweet wine. There is a hint of volatile acidity with jammed dark fruit. Almost like a hint of preserved fruit, macerated fruit, like cassis and kirsch liquor. Some roasted wood. Very high concentration on the palate. It is not perfectly dry there is a hint of sweetness there. There is more of almost like fortified wine. So sweetness, very concentrated jammed fruit. Good degree of roasted oak in the background. It does have structure, it does have length. Quite nice fruit, I just do not know what to make of it. If you think of it as a dried wine. Quite a lot of extract, slight tannic sensation on the finish. Not really a good drinkability today. Something I would like to put back in the cellar and come back to.
