Weingut Fritz Allendorf – Roter Riesling 2014 – Rheingau

Youthful appearance, light straw colour with a green hue. Really youthful on the nose as well. Quite primary fruit like crushed apple, lemon, lime zest. Quite restrained, but good purity. Bright and fresh palate, light weight and quite light bodied, but good grip there with those zesty notes. Youthful fruit like apple, green apple, melon. Quite a long finish. I think this youthful freshness has a good grip and juiciness. Still a bit restrained and not a really tropical expression. Most of the style I like from that kind of vintage. More tension and bright acidity. Still balanced, very youthful.
