Quite deep golden colour here, boarding almost on orange or amber. Very intense nose. It certainly has some evolution. It certainly has some complexity. There is a fine degree of dried spices there, with cinnamon, cardamom, pepper. Above all there is a lot of honeyed fruit. Very tropical with pineapple, apricot, mango, tobacco. Good purity. I think there is a hint of oak in the background, but it is well concealed, I think it still adds a slight hint of toastiness. This is a very high concentration, but it really keeps together. Immensely sweet fruit, backed up by a very bright acidity. It is obviously tremendously long on the finish. Very lingering. It does not end up heavy. There is a high sweetness as I said. There is still a lot of layers going on. This is a wine which has already a few years, but this should obviously develop for forever. What I like about this style of wine, while it is obviously shedding some of that sweetness, as it ages and gaining more complexity and spiciness. Quite impressive and youthful wine with a fair deal complexity. Fine balance to enjoy today, but I would prefer to keep it for longer to see what happens.
