Very intense and dark colour, rather blue-purple core and slightly lighter at the rim, but not really indicating any age. Very intense nose, a quite modern and pushed style I would say. It is a lot of roasted oak here, very high ripeness of fruit. Almost like jammy fruit, blackberry jam, some dried fruit, prune, a lot of spicy notes as well, some notes of mint. Palate has a high level of concentration, high level of extraction. Still quite present tannin there. There is also a fair deal of oak. And it appears very young. The oak is on the finish as well, I mean it has a long length, a high concentration, but I just feel that it is still very youthful and tight with present tannin and the oak is very present on the finish. Slightly burnt oak, and very high ripeness of fruit, almost like jammed cooked fruit. Certainly a wine I would prefer to lay back to rest for a while and come back and see how it does.
