Red wine with a medium towards deep ruby red colour, slightly tawny on the rim. Intense nose here, good purity of fruit; quite sweet fruit with layers of dark berries, sweet spices like clove, vanilla. A hint of oak, but not too much of it. Nice palate here, good volume, good stuffing, good weight, so it offers a lot of fruitiness and roundness. We have finely integrated tannin here and a classic freshness, well-balanced acidity. Oak is also not too noticeable, it just adds something underlying. Again I would say: fine evolution here, good level of complexity, really keeps lingering for a while, so really well-made and attractive in a traditional style, combining that ripe sweet fruit with a classic freshness.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
