Villa Cerna – Riserva 2011 – Chianti Classico

Red wine with a medium-deep ruby colour. Quite generous nose here, displaying sweet cherry, plum, red berry notes. Nicely rounded texture on the palate here, combining that sweet red fruit with grainy tannin. No noticeable oak really; with a medium weight, mild spiciness. So: soft and juicy, with attractive red cherry fruit; medium towards long on the finish, with an emphasis on fruit. Good drinkability today.
