Vicentin – Gen 2012 – Mendoza

Medium towards deep colour here, with a dark almost purple core, slightly more ruby towards the rim. The nose is combining red and dark berries with some roasted notes, and also some rather woody notes, vanilla wood, some dried spices. Generous palate there, with a quite sweet fruit. Rather anxious texture there with polished tannin. Slightly sweet fruit displaying hints of jammed dark berries, plum, quite plump. There is some notes of roasted wood, spices. Quite long finish. Enjoyable today and it will probably gain some more complexity from further cellaring, but it definitely delivers today.
