Very young appearance on the colour, I mean very inky with an opaque centre, quite high density it seems. The nose has a good purity displaying high ripeness here, clearly very ripe fruit like blackberry, cassis, almost with a hint of prune, almost with a hint of dried fruit. There is not really a lot of oak present, rather and emphasis of fruit. With a fine spiciness, quite mild spiciness; like plum, cardamom. Nice palate here, a lot of generosity and mainly it is that lushes fruit that dominates. We have a backbone, but the tannins here are really finely grained and present, but well integrated, I would say. There is a good deal of freshness as well, particularly there is a fine extraction. It is a wine that offers a high level of concentration, high level of ripeness, but with a gentle extraction. Also the oak seems to be quite laid back. Enjoyable, with elegant fruit. A bit more spiciness on the finish, but quite fine spices there like ground pepper, clove, cinnamon. Quite long persistent finish. So a very enjoyable wine.
