Dark purple core. Nuanced nose, rather roasted but really fine oak with cassis, dark berries, mild spices, liquorice and tobacco leaf. The palate is modern dense and concentrated with a stable backbone of tannin, layers of dark fruit, fine but noticeable oak and a very long finish. A lush and modern example yet with fine proportions, balance and drinkability, should get better from further ageing too.
