Very intense colour here, youthful dark and inky core. The nose starts out quite discreetly; there’s a good level of ripeness, with a lot of dark fruit like plum, cherry, cassis. A slight hint of oak, vanilla. High concentration in this one, very rich and intense, with good extract I should say; there’s plenty of tannin in here but they’re finely grained. Still a bit unresolved, it’s certainly a wine with a potential, nice layers of dark fruit like juicy dark cherry and cassis, fine spiciness. Well-integrated wood as well. Good density, and also a long and lingering finish. I would say this is a wine that has a lot of stuffing in there, it just needs a bit more time to gain aromatic complexity and roundness, but it should certainly develop well.
