Siddùra – Fola 2013 – Cannonau di Sardegna

Quite light colour, light towards medium ruby red, with a certain evolution. Attractive nose here, it feels like quite ripe grapes; warm climate, with some hints of sweet plum, confiture, some herbal spiciness. Nice palate here, with quite mild tannins but balanced acidity as well, and very attractive juicy red fruit like raspberry, cherry. I like the texture because it offers a nice drinkability right now, finely rounded, with a certain complexity and that herbal spiciness. Medium weight in terms of fruitiness, but it has a good length. It’s a quite ripe style; the alcohol here is probably 14° but with the acidity and the fruitiness I think it’s balanced, in all ways. It offers a very good drinkability today.
