Inky dark purple. Slightly port like on the nose with notes of crème de cassis and kirsch, some volatile notes. The palate is dense and extracted, still a bit tannic and with sweet dark fruit, pepper and clove, it starts out a bit young and raw but gets better on the finish, an ambitious effort for sure, should just get some more time to soften.
