Rigal – Les Terrasses 2014 – Cahors

Red wine truly deep colour here, very dark purple. Very youthful nose here, really primary. It is really displaying aromas like freshly crushed grapes coming off the press, freshly fermented wine or must, with some floral notes there; violet, sweet dark plum. Really youthful palate here, still with a good tannic gripe, slightly tannic on the finish for sure, still deserving some more time. But in terms of fruitiness, it is quite rounded, with a subtle texture there, with those red and dark berries. Quite rounded and attractive, but would certainly gain more complexity in the coming one or two years.
