Quite intense red colour, deep ruby core, slightly lighter at the rim. Quite intense nose, offering some oak, quite dark fruitiness; dark plum, dry spices and a hint of leather. Palate has medium weight, quite high extract, still appears rather youthful with quite chewy tannin, also some wood on the palate. Mix of plum and red and dark berries. Medium length, however it appears a bit closed to me now on the finish, still with the presence of quite harsh tannin and dry wood. Certainly a wine that should benefit from further aging.
