Piteira – Xisto Preto Old Vines 2012 – Douro

Dense and youthful purple colour. High ripeness, some balsamic notes and sweet dark fruit, rather port-like with a mild spiciness, yet being totally dry on the palate, with rounded tannin, sweet fruit, blackberry and cherry with discreet oak and a bold finish.
