Petrolo – Galatrona 2013 – Val D’Arno Di Sopra

Youthful and dense colour, still with a blue-purple core. Youthful nose as well. With quite ripe dark berries. Mainly plum with some notes of chocolate, some liquorice, a hint of cassis and dark berries. Quite dense palate here, plenty of weight but a rather loose texture with very fine tannins. Attractive dark fruit, still a youthful wine without any aged complexity. So rather with those hints of plum and cassis. There is a slight herbal spiciness, like some notes of dried herbs, sage. Quite a long finish. With juicy and fresh fruit. Quite attractive already. Should go on well in a cool cellar.
