Red wine, the rim has a certain evolution, so it has some development for sure. There’s nothing blue or purple in this one, it’s a medium-deep ruby red core with a rather brick tawny rim. Very nice perfume, very elegant, I would call a rather feminine and sexy style, with sweet red berry fruit, mild spices, tobacco, some notes of chocolate. Very powerful on the palate; and I like this because it starts out really elegant with that fine perfume, but it really has weight and volume. It has a certain evolution, but I would say that for its style it’s still in a quite youthful phase. There’s plenty of grip in terms of extract and tannin; the tannins are rounded though, they’re finely polished, finely grained. Then I get layers of that sweet unctuous red berry fruit with that fine spiciness. Very coherent, it really starts out with that elegance and it finishes off with that elegance. A really pretty wine with a good deal of complexity. It’s a great length, really persistent, and there’s a good level of complexity as well because it keeps lingering on the palate, adding those spicy things going on. It’s a classically dry wine, but you still get that sensation of opulent sweet fruit. Beautiful.
