Inky dark purple core. Very intense perfume of black truffle, ripe dark fruit, some balsamic notes and a hint of roasted wood. The palate has a high density and concentration, yet with a fresh nerve underneath, ripe dark cherry and plum notes, plenty of fine tannin and a long dense finish. Still a bit youthful on the finish but doubtlessly a wine with plenty of stuffing for long ageing.
