Quite intense colour here, inky core with a slightly blue-purple tinge, appearing youthful. Fresh nose, also rather youthful, with an emphasis of fruit here. Really dark fruit, brings my mind back to let’s say Bordeaux varieties, cassis, dark plum. There is a slight herbal spiciness, but ripe herbs like sage, bay leaf. A gentle hint of oak and vanilla in the background. A good intensity overall. Quite dense texture, still appearing a bit youthful there. We have this core of dark fruit, but really ripe and dark, but still with a good degree of acidity. Fine tannin, giving a lift. In terms of tannin, they are still present there. We feel them, but they are quite ripe and will easily integrate in the few coming years. Nice and juicy dark fruit. Good length as well, persistent with finely integrated wood. I think it is a complete wine, with good properties. All it needs is a little bit more time in the cellar to soften those edges and gain some more complexity.
