Intense black purple colour. Pure nose of ripe dark fruit, black cherry, crême de cassis, cocoa bean, discreet wood and aniseed. The palate is pure and balanced with dense fruit, high but well-distributed extract, grainy tannin, a fresh acidity, and layers of dark fruit with a long and fresh finish with plenty of dark fruit flavours. Dense and vigorous but modest extraction.
