Medium towards dark colour. There is still a rather youthful appearance with some blue-purple core, slightly ruby at the rim. Pure nose. No evident oak, rather a fruity expression. With quite clear notes of plum. More I would say in the direction of Merlot, with dark plum, some wild berries, some leafy and herbal notes, tobacco. The palate has medium weight. Quite restrained in a classic style. No evidence of oak again. Finely polished in terms of tannin. Acidity is quite high, giving a good lift on the palate. With barely-ripe, dark fruit, just plum, then more red berry notes. Some of those slightly herbal, spicy, herbal notes. Traditional style, yet I think it has just opened up today. It can still gain a bit more roundness and flesh from some further cellaring.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
