Intense dark purple. Floral nose with violet, crushed dark berries, cassis and dark cherry with spicy notes of sage, bay leaf and tobacco and just a hint of fine oak. The palate is dense and weighty but with a modest extraction, ripe tannin, and a fresh backbone, layers of ripe dark fruit, nuanced yet intense flavours with spicy aniseed and sage notes. Very long, polished and persistent finish. Modern vibrant and savoury, just opening up and should age for a very long time.
