Quite inky core with a dark ruby centre, still with some hints of purple-blue, appearing quite youthful. The nose has some evolution, it’s rather intense, showing off dark fruity flavours like dark plum, leather, tobacco, cassis. Excellent grip on the palate; this is clearly to me a Cabernet style, with a dense fruitiness. Aromatically it’s got some evolution and complexity. Secondary nose is coming back to showing a bit more wood; tobacco, vanilla. Dense core there, just about to start to shed its tannin; there’s still a good core of tannin though. Very very persistent on the palate, great length, finely integrated wood, and a slight amount of herbal spiciness adding freshness, just like some fresh sage and bay leaf. Very persistent. I would still call this a young wine, but with a potential to age for many years. Really, really fine. C’est bon ça!
