Red wine with a developed colour here, we have nothing blue or purple, rather medium-deep ruby with an orange rim. Quite perfumed here, with sweet red fruit, raspberry, cherry, some hints of chocolate praline, mild spices. Quite elegant style this one, it’s medium weight, we still have a good presence of extract here, but quite polished in terms of tannins, rather like cocoa powder giving a lift to that sweet cherry, rosehip. Vibrant acidity. Medium towards long finish. Certainly a wine that will go on for a few years; but I think this should be drunk now because it’s showing that attractive perfume, well-rounded, and particularly with a richer dish like a creamy risotto or pasta with mushrooms or something in that direction. I would be happy to imbibe this.
