Red wine with a very intense colour here, opaque, impenetrable, with quite coloured legs as well. Rather intense nose; it’s a fairly youthful wine with high ripeness, dark fruit like cassis, dark plum. We have some meaty, almost smoky notes and the presence of wood, roasted wood. A quite modern style, quite lush, opulent. The palate is dense, good density of fruit, still youthful in terms of texture. We have a presence here of quite austere tannin, not in a negative way but they are still pretty much marked and giving a slight dry sensation on the palate. Otherwise we have multilayered dark fruit with some spiciness, pepperiness. Finish is long, and we feel again a quite warm style, feels warm and ripe, with dark modern fruit, a spicy finish. A wine that could be decanted and drunk today, but I would prefer to put this away for another two to three years probably; it would just round off a bit of that tannic sensation and gain some more complexity.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
