Very youthful colour here, dark intense core with a ruby-purple colour. Fresh nose; high ripeness here with a lot of dark berries, mild spices. No evident oak. Very nice structure on the palate here, rich body, but pretty soft extract, rounded texture here. We have tannin adding freshness but they’re very fine, grainy, adding just a hint of almost like cocoa powder. I feel a bit of oak on the palate that I didn’t pick up on the nose, but it’s quite subtle and doesn’t dominate in any way. It’s a fine combination of oak and at the same time a well-preserved freshness, high acidity. Pure, elegant fruit, a long clean finish. Very fine potential.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
