Quite a youthful colour here, with a dark, ruby-red core. The nose is also on the youthful side, with really dark berries, like fresh cassis, dark plum, a slight herbal spiciness like sage, with some anise seed. A gentle hint of roasted oak, like roasted coffee beans actually. And a hint of slightly gamey meaty slightly leathery notes. Palate has a medium weight, a bit more than medium weight. Quite dense fruitiness here, still with youthful, inky dark fruit. With flavours of blackcurrant, plum. There is an underlining spiciness there of sage and anise seed. Just a hint of oak. Already quite polished I would say. Loosely structured tannin. Mild quite integrated acidity and a medium towards long finish.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
