Red wine, starting to develop because the colour on the rim is really ruby towards tawny; the core as well is medium-ruby. The nose is showing evolution here, I get more spicy woody notes like cedar wood, tobacco, spice box, with sweet plum and some red berry notes. Palate has a classic structure; it’s medium weight, with quite high extraction here. We still have a tannic grip on the mid-palate with sour red cherry, some notes of cranberry, with spicy leathery notes. It’s pretty intense on the finish, it’s a medium towards long finish, still with that tannic presence. I would say this is a wine that has a certain aromatic complexity and development; I think flavourwise it would still need to round off the edges, to let the tannins soften for another one to two years in the cellar.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
