Medium deep colour here, with a ruby-red core. Still appearing fairly youthful. Good purity on the nose. With hints of sweet dark plum, dark cherry. A little bit of red berry fruit. There is a slight degree of spiciness, some orange peel. Good grip on the palate. Medium towards full with a fine tannic backbone. Nothing is harsh or angular but the tannins are still young, but well-integrated, well worked. There is just a hint of oak showing up on the palate, I did not pick up on the nose. Fine oak there, just hints of vanilla. Really attractive and juicy fruit there, plenty of attractive berry fruit, with that sweet sensation of plum. Well-restrained in terms of freshness and tannin I would say. Good length. I would call this perfectly drinkable today. It should have the potential to go on for five, six, seven years. I really do not know that style but it certainly has the density and balance for that.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
