Quite developed colour here, low intensity with a rather tawny orange nuance. Slightly pale rim, indicating some evolution. Fine nose here. Elegant with some meaty notes. There are some mild spiciness with layers of pepper, clove, ginger, giving a lift to that sweet red fruit. Fresh red berries such as cherry, raspberry, rosehip. Discreet wood. Hint of chocolate praline. Very smooth on the palate. It does have good weight and quite a dense texture. Truly finely grained tannin. The fruitiness is really rounded and subtle with a fresh red fruit. Good levels of acidity. Already with a nice quite polished edges, so it doesn’t appear harsh or angular in anyway, so rather smooth. Already with a certain sexiness and meatiness. Long and lingering finish. Approaching complexity. It will certainly benefit more from further ageing. I wouldn’t hesitate to drink it today.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
