The colour is very dense at the core. Dark ruby still impenetrable at the core. Towards the edge, it is starting to lose some of that youthful colour. The nose indicates some brightness as well. It is far from primary fruit here. We have a lot of secularly aromas. With dried fruit, and a lot of spices such as liquorice and leather. Then dried fruit like prune, cassis and dried cherry. Good degree of complexity here, with a lot of spiciness. Quite a broad palate here, with a good weight. In terms of texture already softened. There is fine tannin in the background. Quite meaty here with leathery spiciness. Plenty of dark fruit, blackberry, dark plum, with peppery, liquorice type notes. Long rounded and warm finish. A wine with a good degree of maturity. I would deem it perfectly drinkable today. It should keep for another few years. It has already, I think, reached its plateau of maturity.
