Deep golden towards amber colour. Mature nose yet with a fine purity, aromas of champagne cellar, darker pinot-like fruit, nutty with fig, prune, tobacco, fine oak, candied orange, clove and pepper. The palate is intense and mature, showing a fine purity, no oxidation, good layers of dried fruit with a fine spiciness, nutty and mature flavours leading to a long and lingering finish.
