Very deep core here, still with a certain evolution, there is nothing blue left in this one. It is rather very very dark and dense ruby with a slightly lighter rim. Intense nose, generous and ripe, with quite plump fruit such as, dark plum, there is some liquorice, chocolate, a lot of dark berries, a slight hint of wood there, a touch of vanilla. An approaching complexity I should say as it is starting to display a bit more of spiciness and some earthy notes beyond primary fruit. Quite intense palate. Mouth-filling and broad with lush, dark fruit, underlined by some finely toasted notes. Pretty spicy with those notes of anise seed and liquorice, backing up that dark juicy plum, dark blackberry. In terms of texture, the tannins are finely integrated. So quite soft in terms of dry extract or extract I should say. Very nice concentration of fruit, dense long and lingering. With a fine spicy finish. Very good drinkability right now, but doubtlessly a wine with a potential for a very long time in the cellar.
