Medium intense colour. Medium to high intensity, I would say, with a ruby-red core. Intense nose. First of all it starts out quite spicy, some balsamic notes. There is some dried spices, herbs, mint. Then we have a mix of red and dark berries, quite sweet fruit and a gentle hint of oak. Palate is full-bodied. Quite polished and rounded in terms of texture. Grainy tannin appearing a bit more present on the finish. Attractive, dark and juicy fruit with notes of plum, cassis. Then we have some of those medical herbs, giving a lift. So good freshness, well-integrated oak. Quite long finish. Well long finish actually, it keeps lingering. Still a rather youthful wine. I think with this density and structure this is a wine that will benefit from another two to three years to gain some more complexity and roundness. But quite ambitious and a well-made example.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
