Really dark and inky colour here, blue-purple impenetrable on the core. Perfumed nose, quite intense here, pure, with floral notes like violet. Then add to that plenty of dark fruit; like blackberry, cassis and dark plum. No clear indication of oak, rather on that dark fruity side. Good gripe on the palate here, really full-bodied. I think this is a nice texture as it has a lot of weight in terms of fruit. Good density of fruit, that really inky core of dark plum and cassis flavours. At the same time the tannins are really nicely dissolved already. Well integrated, and there is also a good dose of acidity beneath all that dark fruit. It sill appears quiet youthful, but I think it is just starting to open up now. Displaying a bit more of that complexity and spiciness that comes from further ageing. It certainly has a long length, it keeps lingering with some finely spicy notes on the finish, with a slight hint of leather, and that dark fruit. Really attractive wine, I would be happily to drink today, but also put back in my cellar for further development.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
