Red wine with a very deep and inky colour, still quite opaque at the core with a blue-purple tinge. Quite intense nose here, displaying ripe dark fruit. There is a certain evolution on the nose with a slight influence of oak and vanilla, then with dark plum and some hints of cassis. The palate has good weight, density of fruit, quiet concentrated. I would refer to really inky fruit, like dark blackberry, black currant. Still with a tannic structure, that is pretty well integrated. We do get that tannic freshness on the finish, but more powdery, grainy tannins; resembling more like coco powder with juicy, dark, fruity flavours. Quite a long finish, it keeps going on. I think it is just about opening up now, displaying some spiciness on the finish, a hint of leather and certainly will continue to develop for a longer time. So a nice example.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
