Deep colour here, deep ruby, still with a slight hint of purple at the core. Quite complex nose; this one offers a lot, it has some balmy notes, with some wild herbs and dark sweet cherry fruit. Quite full-bodied, with a good density of fruit; and I think this one is offering a good balance between the fruitiness; and it’s obviously a tannic style of grape variety so the tannins are still pronounced, but I think they’re just about to resolve right now. So I find the palate balanced, with this good concentration. It also has a good length, with rather rounded acidity. There’s a certain hint of complexity already. On the aftertaste I get more of those slightly balmy notes with that spicy bouquet garni, wild herbs. Pretty persistent, with a dash of complexity and a good potential for development.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
