Gaia Estate – Thalassitis 2015 – PDO Santorini

Very youthful appearance. Pale straw with a gentle green hue. Intense nose. Very fresh, very youthful, with hints of almost like fresh grapes, young fruit. More in the direction of citrus with lemon and lime, some green apple and pear and a certain mineral presence as well. Very good grip on the palate. Good bite. Quite full-bodied I would say, but still in a unoaked style, with an emphasis on the minerality and freshness. There is green fruit with apple, pear, with lime, some fresh almond. Again it is persistent. It is not the boldest or fattest, ripe style. It has more of that what I would call nicely restrained freshness. Good length, good body and weight. More on the fresh mineral side with youthful zesty fruit. Quite enjoyable. Should have a good potential for development.
