Very deep and intense colour. The core is ruby-purple. Slightly lighter rim, but still colouring the glass appearing very youthful. Intense nose, with a lot of intensity. Floral, with hints of violet, dark berries, a lot of cassis, dark plum and cherry. Some herbal spiciness, not like green, but aromatic and ripe herbs. Some notes of mint. The palate feels quite youthful. It is offering a sensation of sweetness at first, which feels like quite ripe fruit. Towards the end, it appears drier. It is still a classically dry wine, with quite ripe fruit. So we almost have jammed, dark cherries and a cream de cassis. With a fine herbal spiciness. Rich and full-bodied. I would say the tannins are already grained, integrated. It is just a bit messy and restrained in terms of expression. It certainly does have the weight, structure and length to develop nicely. So a wine with a good potential to put back in your cellar.
