Quite a massive colour here, deep purple core. The nose is floral with violet, dark berry fruit, cassis, some dried spices like anise seed, pepper, a slight hint of oak, but not too much of it. Palate has a high density and concentration. Plenty of weight. Quite high extract, still youthful tannin, adding a slight dry touch to the mid-palate. There is a hint of sweetness as well, quite sweet fruit such as ripe blackberry, cassis. High ripeness and noticeable alcohol. There is a rather elevated acidity in this one. Or a good notion of freshness on the finish. The oak is rather in place already. I find the tannic presence a bit marked on the finish. It is still a very youthful wine that should continue to develop for a long time. So put it back in the cellar and open it from two to three years from now.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
