Medium to deep colour, quite ruby-red core. Finely layered nose here. There are a lot of things going on there. A lot of mild spices, fine spices, a slight hint of cedar wood, tobacco. Then there is quite a mix of red and dark berries; with some blackberry, plum, raspberry shining through. Finely toasted, finely spicy. The palate has medium weight, a bit more than medium weight I would say. It seems young, but already I think it has a quite good subtleness. In terms of extract, it is rounded, so quite grainy tannin. With plenty of juicy fruits, the fruit is appearing sweet without being jammy. So a nice mix of crushed red and dark berries. Fine spicy notes of pepper, clove. Well, integrated oak there is a fine smokiness on the finish. It is layered. So juicy and attractive yet with a certain complexity. With layered spiciness and a long finish. Certainly potent for further cellaring, but I find it pretty attractive already.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
