Developed colour here, getting slight orange towards the rim. Dark ruby-red. The nose is developed showing some maturity. There is a hint of slight oxidation with dried fruit, in the direction of prune, dried cherry, dried spices. Slight hint of sweetness or caramel. Quite a lot of tannin on the palate. Medium to full-bodied, but right now it is more about extract than fruit. The fruit appears slightly dried out like prune, dried berries. There are some notes of walnut, a hint of cardboard. Quite rich and ripe in terms of alcohol. It finishes a bit on the austere side now, due to a high presence of extract and tannin. I do not really know what to make of this right now. It should perhaps get some more age and let’s get back to it.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
