Mature colour, medium deep ruby-red getting pale at the rim. Fine nose, showing some complexity and development. Very much Cabernet in style. I would even say, quite Bordeaux-like, with redcurrants, some aromatic herbs, like sage, mint. There is a slight hint of oakiness, coffee beans. The palate is quite full, but well-defined. I think particularly Cabernet tannin can show a bit difficult. Here we have still present tannin, but finely grained with elegant, combining both the darker and the redder from the fruit spectrum, with that elegant, herbal spiciness. Finely integrated oak as well. Appearing quite digest now with a good level of acidity. Long lingering finish. It is still a youthful wine but perfectly drinkable. This should easily have an ageing potential of eight to ten years. Yeah, fine example. I think all proportions are there. This is not the most powerful or extracted example of Cabernet or Cabernet based blends, more in that direction of Bordeaux, medium-bodied, elegant. I like it a lot.
