Inky and opaque colour. Youthful nose offering leather, black fruit, cassis, tobacco and some oak/butterscotch notes. The palate is immensely concentrated and dark with layers of crème de cassis, Kirsch, dark chocolate underlined by a fresh acidity, plenty of tannin yet ripe but youthful adding plenty of freshness and length. The finish is dense, muscular and very long, an ambitious wine, starting to open but preferably should deserve another few years to reach its full potential.
