Intense inky black core with some maturity on the rim. Aromatic with an abundance of dark fruit like cassis, black cherry, plum, liquorice, aniseed and discreet oak. The palate has a very high density but starting to soften now plenty of fine tannin and floral dark fruit, an approaching spicy complexity and a long warm finish. Will keep for a long time but should drink fairly well now with intense and rustic dishes.
