Medium-deep ruby red colour, still fairly youthful appearance with a hint of blue-purple. The nose is displaying some roasted oak, vanilla, dark berry fruit and some plum. Palate has medium weight, a quite soft texture in terms of tannin. Juicy red and dark fruit, still with the dominance of oak, there’s still some roasted notes quite present, a hint of wood. Modern vinification, quite attractive fruit, but I feel the oak dominates a bit too much right now; a lot of vanilla on the finish as well. I would put this back in the cellar for another year and hope for the wood to integrate a little bit more.

Tasted by the Best Sommelier of the World, Andreas Larsson.
